Beneath the dusky twilight sky,
When nothing seemed to cross my mind
When silence passes the space behind
It often seems I've skipped a rung blind.
Up and out and sinking, seeping,
Memories can serve the warning
Now it is I who wakes to a dawning
Sunlight most of every morning.
My broken wall which towered high,
From which I stood alive each time,
had some advice upon its stoney base,
Two words for years on: Just Survive..
Just Survive!
When nothing seemed to cross my mind
When silence passes the space behind
It often seems I've skipped a rung blind.
Up and out and sinking, seeping,
Memories can serve the warning
Now it is I who wakes to a dawning
Sunlight most of every morning.
My broken wall which towered high,
From which I stood alive each time,
had some advice upon its stoney base,
Two words for years on: Just Survive..
Just Survive!
